My 14 year old down syndrome daughter has a terrible stimming habit of picking the tops of her thumbnails.  She has done it so much over the years that there is almost no nail left and what is left looks deformed.  I have tried everything from positive reinforcers to punishment to get her to stop.  I tried you gloves and they have worked for her!  Even though she still rubs the top of her thumbnail, it is now protected by the glove so no damage is occurring to the nail and it is growing back!  She wears them at school and home and loves them!  Great product!  She has worn out this first pair so I am ordering a couple more!
